OTHER TREATMENTS

Dentures, also known as false teeth, are removable prosthetic devices that replace missing teeth. They are custom-made for each patient and fit over the gums to help with eating, speech, and smile appearance. Dentures can be made from acrylic (plastic), nylon, or metal, and typically consist of a base made from acrylic resin and denture teeth made from composite or porcelain materials. The base forms to the roof of the mouth over time to ensure a proper fit.

Chrome dentures, also known as CoCr dentures, are a type of partial denture that are made from a combination of acrylic and a chrome cobalt alloy. The metal base plate or framework is made from the alloy and sits around and on the natural teeth, providing stability and retention. The acrylic is used for the gums and false teeth. Chrome dentures are custom-crafted to fit the contours of the mouth and are held in place with clasps or other attachment mechanisms.

A root canal is a dental procedure that saves a tooth from being removed by treating an infection or damage in the tooth's center. The procedure involves removing the tooth's pulp, a soft tissue that contains nerves, blood vessels, and connective tissue, and then cleaning, shaping, and filling the root canal. The dentist may also place a crown on the tooth to protect it and restore its function. Here at the Village Dentla & Implant Practice we have a dentist that has a masters degree in Endodontics (root canal treatment).

Composite fillings are a dental restorative material that are made from a mixture of powdered glass or quartz and a plastic resin base. They are also known as white, tooth-colored, or resin fillings. Composite fillings are designed to look like natural teeth and are used to repair cracks, decay, chips, breaks, and wear in teeth
